Divorce—or parental separation—is a process that profoundly transforms the family structure, particularly affecting children. This study analyzes the emotional and psychological consequences for children of divorced parents, emphasizing the importance of therapeutic support to mitigate these effects. Given the limited access to specialized psychological services in the locality of Huajuapan de León, Oaxaca, this work proposes the development of a transitional technological device named Lucero, designed to accompany and monitor the grieving process in children of divorced parents. The research employs Design Thinking and Co-Design methodologies, actively involving end users in the development of the device. Usability test results indicate high acceptance of the device by children, highlighting its potential as an innovative therapeutic tool.
